| Vinification Note : |
| This wine is from the Le Zuccole sub-zone of the Isonzo del Friuli district in the far North East of Italy. The vineyards have a mild, humid and windy climate and are situated at 30m above sea level; soils are free-draining, mainly gravel, covered or mixed with a 30 to 70 cm layer of topsoil. Planting density is medium-high at 4,800 plants per hectare and yields are regulated at 2kg per plant using double-Guyot pruning. Harvesting is carried out by hand towards the first week of September and the must is fermented at around 25C, followed by full malolactic. All vinification and maturation takes place in stainless steel. The finished product has 12% alcohol, 4.5 g/l acidity and 22 g/l of dry extract. |
