| Detailed Vinification Note : |
| The Chardonnay for Painter Bridge is grown in two distinctly different appellations. Two-thirds of the fruit comes from the Sacramento Delta, near Paintersville - an appellation characterized by cooling Delta breezes originating in the Carquinez Straits of San Francisco Bay, and the remaining third is from the very cold and windswept Arroyo Seco appellation of Monterey County. Fermented in older barrels and stainless steel to enhance pure fruit expression with the R2 yeast from the Sauternes region of France which is recognized for enhancing fruit and floral notes. The Muscat Canelli is from the cool Monterey County appellation and is fermented cold in stainless steel and is blended to enhance the enticing floral character of the Painter Bridge Chardonnay. The wine is aged and racked into stainless steel, cold stabilized, fined, and sterile filtered to bottle. |
